Mark Taylor, M.D. RETIRED

PACT Gastroenterology Center

Dr. Taylor retired from PACT at the end of July 2026.

Dear Patients,

After many wonderful years of caring for this community, I am writing to announce my retirement, effective July 31, 2026. I will be taking time to undergo shoulder surgery and focus on my recovery.

As one of the founding physicians of Physicians Alliance of Connecticut (PACT) LLC, it has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve as your physician. The trust you have placed in me over the years has been a gift that I have never taken for granted. Caring for you and your families through the milestones of your lives has been the most meaningful part of my career.

Medicine has been far more than a profession to me—it has been a calling. The friendships I have formed, the stories you have shared, and the privilege of caring for generations of families have enriched my life beyond measure. Thank you for your loyalty, your trust, and the opportunity to be your physician. I will always be grateful for the years we have shared together and will carry those memories with me into retirement.

For the continuity of your care, PACT Gastroenterology Center, a partner of Hartford Healthcare Medical Group (HHCMG), is able to continue caring for you, including its newest physicians, Harold Schwartz, M.D., Joseph Soucy, M.D., and Jeremy Matloff, M.D. PACT Gastroenterology currently has offices in Hamden, Milford, Guilford, and Bridgeport for your convenience and is pleased to announce that Melanie Pascal, M.D., will be joining the practice on November 2, 2026.

To ensure a smooth transition, please contact our office at 203.281.4463 with your preference to either transfer care to one of my colleagues or to another Hartford HealthCare Medical Group physician throughout the state. If you choose to seek care within PACT HHCMG, providers will have immediate access to your medical record. If you choose to seek care from a provider outside of our group, please contact the office for instructions or print the medical records release form found on our website (PACT Medical Record Request Form) and mail it to the Hamden office at 2200 Whitney Avenue, Suite 330, Hamden, CT 06518. Please allow 30 days for transfer of records.

With heartfelt appreciation and my warmest wishes for your continued health and happiness.

Best,

Mark Taylor, M.D. 😀
