About Clinician

Harold M. Schwartz, MD, AGAF, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. He previously served as an attending gastroenterologist and Director of Endoscopy at Montefiore Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Schwartz completed his medical education at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center and his residency and fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine, where he also held academic appointments. He has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career, including Chief of Gastroenterology and Director of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at Griffin Hospital.

Dr. Schwartz joined PACT Gastroenterology Center, a partner of Hartford Healthcare, in July 2025. His special interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and liver disease.
