Miruna Carnaru, M.D., M.H.S.

Dr. Carnaru grew up in Queens, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from New York University, followed by her medical degree from Norton College of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She then completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Carnaru went on to complete Rheumatology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital, during which time she also earned a Master of Health Science degree from Yale School of Medicine with a focus on skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis patients. She remained in Connecticut, joined the Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital’s Rheumatology practice and served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Rheumatology. Dr. Carnaru has long believed that the art and science of medicine best come together in the complex care of patients with autoimmune and rheumatic diseases and she has joined PACT to continue serving this unique patient population.
