David Hass, M.D., FACG

Dr. Hass attended medical school at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, followed by residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. He served as Medical Director of PACT Gastroenterology Center from 2019-2025, and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine, combining a unique hybrid of private practice and clinical education. He served as the Director of Endoscopy at Yale New Haven Hospital – Saint Raphael Campus for over ten years and is actively involved in the fellowship training program at Yale. He has a distinct interest in diseases of the small bowel and is very interested in educating both patients and clinicians about the usefulness of complementary and alternative therapies, as well as the importance of careful regulation of CAM therapies. Dr. Hass also has a strong interest in physician advocacy and has served as President of the New Haven County Medical Association and the Connecticut State Medical Society. He has served as a member of the American College of Gastroenterology Legislative and Public Policy Council, the ACG Practice Management Committee and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is also the Founder/Director of the Young Physician Leadership Academy, a program aimed at educating tomorrow’s physicians about effective leadership, emotional intelligence, organizational behavior and other critical leadership skills to enable young physicians to become more effective advocates for their patients, their colleagues and themselves.
