TREATMENTS
Fecal Incontinence Treatment Options
We have several options that we personalize to your health needs. To start, after your initial consultation, our specialists will develop a customized treatment plan that may be inclusive of diet changes, prescription medications, and simple lifestyle modifications. Or maybe to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, pelvic floor therapy may be prescribed. Lastly, a minimally invasive bowel incontinence treatment called Axonics Therapy may be recommended to restore healthy communication between the brain, bladder, and bowel.

What our patients are saying
Went to the Ansonia office. Visit was pleasant, didn’t have a wait to be seen, Shanna Gannon, PA was very nice, helpful, and patient with my needs. Highly recommend Dr. Aversa, Shanna Gannon, PA, and staff.
- Dian Ostuno, Google Review
Shanna is wonderful, she is smart and to the point ! She was able to help me diagnose my problem when just about no other doctor I seen prior could do !! I’m currently 5 weeks from a sports hernia surgery and I’m finally going in the right direction! I still have some healing and physical therapy to go but for the first time in a year after 3 surgeries I feel hopeful to get back to work!!!
- Justin Murphy, Google Review
Thorough, knowledgeable, takes time to explain but gets to the point. Would highly recommend.
