Trudi earned her Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College (MA) in English and Neuroscience in 2014. Afterward, she worked as an EMT for Campion Ambulance, LLC in Waterbury and Cheshire while attending UConn’s accelerated nursing program for her second bachelor’s in 2017. With a passion for neuroscience, she immediately began working as an RN on the general neurology floor at Yale-New Haven Hospital, caring for patients with neurological, neurosurgical and epilepsy disorders before moving on to spend the last five years as a critical care nurse in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. While in the ICU, she served as co-chair of the Patient-Family Advisory Council, Journal Committee and Palliative Care Committee, as well as a preceptor for new graduate nurses.
Trudi graduated from Baylor University in August of 2023 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her doctoral project focused on awareness and prevention of elderly abuse. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, the American Holistic Nursing Association, and the Connecticut APRN Society. Her clinical interests include functional medicine, nutrition and preventative care, along with neurology and geriatrics. In her free time, Trudi enjoys reading, cooking, baking, Cape Cod and spending as much time outside as possible with her family and friends.
I saw Diane Graham as my first primary doctor after aging out of my pediatrician’s office. She was wonderful and gave me awesome recommendations for little issues that I had that other doctors never bothered to give me! Finally, I am not anxious about doctor visits!

Went to the Ansonia office. Visit was pleasant, didn’t have a wait to be seen, Shanna Gannon, PA was very nice, helpful, and patient with my needs. Highly recommend Dr. Aversa, Shanna Gannon, PA, and staff.

Shanna is wonderful, she is smart and to the point ! She was able to help me diagnose my problem when just about no other doctor I seen prior could do !! I’m currently 5 weeks from a sports hernia surgery and I’m finally going in the right direction! I still have some healing and physical therapy to go but for the first time in a year after 3 surgeries I feel hopeful to get back to work!!!

Thorough, knowledgeable, takes time to explain but gets to the point. Would highly recommend.

Dr Ginsburg is amazing. He literally saved my daughters life her Freshman year of college when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Thanks to him and his amazing staff she is now in remission and thriving. I’m not sure who wrote that his office staff was unfriendly or he has no beside manners because nothing could be further from the truth. Highly recommend!

Went to see Dr Ginsburg for a second opinion, have been beyond impressed- I’ll continue my 45 minute commutes to continue with him as my doctor. The staff has been so thorough with making sure I have appointments set up with his office and elsewhere (for testing, referrals etc.) Dr Ginsburg covers all the important aspects related to my GI-health and not just what is bothering me in that moment. I’m grateful for his detailed care, compassion and advocating for my well-being!
