Dr. Bonadies earned his Medical Degree in 1988 from the University of Vermont College of Medicine following his undergraduate education at Cornell University. He returned home to New Haven to complete his surgical training at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and ultimately established his practice. He garnered further expertise in trauma and critical care at Hartford Hospital before returning to the Hospital of Saint Raphael to direct the surgical intensive care unit and the trauma program.
With expertise across the entire spectrum of general surgical problems from the routine to the unusual, Dr. Bonadies has garnered a wealth of experience caring for patients over his 20-plus-year career.
Dr. Bonadies is proud to be Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is an active Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and holds membership in numerous surgical societies, including the prestigious New England Surgical Society.
Dr. Bonadies has received recognition for his teaching of surgery to young surgeons and for his dedication to patient care.

Shanna is wonderful, she is smart and to the point ! She was able to help me diagnose my problem when just about no other doctor I seen prior could do !! I’m currently 5 weeks from a sports hernia surgery and I’m finally going in the right direction! I still have some healing and physical therapy to go but for the first time in a year after 3 surgeries I feel hopeful to get back to work!!!

Dr Ginsburg is amazing. He literally saved my daughters life her Freshman year of college when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Thanks to him and his amazing staff she is now in remission and thriving. I’m not sure who wrote that his office staff was unfriendly or he has no beside manners because nothing could be further from the truth. Highly recommend!

Went to see Dr Ginsburg for a second opinion, have been beyond impressed- I’ll continue my 45 minute commutes to continue with him as my doctor. The staff has been so thorough with making sure I have appointments set up with his office and elsewhere (for testing, referrals etc.) Dr Ginsburg covers all the important aspects related to my GI-health and not just what is bothering me in that moment.
